The Pentagon

The Pentagon was built during World War II. Construction began on September 11, 1941. In 1943, 18 months after it began, the building was completed. President Roosevelt thought that it was simply a temporary building just after World War II and will be used as the National Archives building. In 1998 the building was renovated.

At the time of "the attacks of 11 September 2001", American Airlines flight 77 aircraft point to crash into the building. But arguably a fortune in misfortune, the place that was hit is the newly renovated place. After this event, the renovations continued and finally finished in 2008.
